There are a variety of body lift procedures available. It all depends on which is best for you and what your problem areas are. It can include the abdomen, thighs, buttock, back, flanks and even the arms. Often patients will have the lower body done and then the upper body at a separate time or vice versa.
During your initial consultation with Dr Ritz, he will discuss the procedure with you, pre operatively, what happens during the surgery and your post operative care, and any risks or complications involved, there are risks associated with any surgery no matter how big or small, it is important you are aware of them and understand them. He will ask you questions about your medical history including any medications you may be taking. Body lift surgery is a big procedure and patients need to fully understand what is involved. Patients often need to have blood tests prior, along with a consultation with the anaesthetist or a physician if required.
You will have another consultation about 2 weeks prior to your procedure, to discuss the surgery again and answer any further questions you may have.
